Day 14 – You. Are. Loved.
It’s a Valentine’s day and I hope and pray that you know you are loved — so infinitely loved by our Heavenly Father.
We picked up two families from the airport this morning, and we will be spending Valentine’s Day with them. Like us, they each have 3 kids. Burritos and salsa are on the menu for dinner. And even though these friends are Brits from England, they are like family to us. They are the Lord’s holy people who over the years have demonstrated God’s love toward us in countless ways.
I hope and pray you have people like that in your life and that you are that kind of person to others.
On this day, when the world celebrates love, one thing is certain, I will never tire of thinking of God’s love. And even though I think I understand it, I know I’ve only seen just a glimpse.
I love how the apostle Paul prays for us:
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Eph. 3:14-19
Wow. Not much more I can add to that.
