I woke early this morning … before the clock read 4 am. It wasn’t what I was planning on but the things weighing heavily on my heart came to mind.
I began praying lifting each issue and eventually I got up made coffee and lit a candle in the living room.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jn. 8:12
In my darkest moments, Jesus is with me. Sipping my warm cup of coffee I look up to my sky window and I see one bright shining star in the black sky. It seems to flicker.
I stare at the star and think how brightly it must shine for me to see it since it’s so far away. And the Word comes.
“For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him.” Ps. 103:11
God’s love is that much … and I realize I’ve come full circle. It always seems to circle back to this inexhaustible truth — God’s love — His incredible, indescribable love for each one of us.
Even in the darkness of the night, He reminds me of His great love.
In Christ, I’m infinitely and forever loved.
And so are you friend. Whatever you may be facing today, remember you are loved. It’s going to be okay. Father has you in the palm of His hands. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
Jesus invites us to cast our burdens to Him. He is our gentle Shepherd who understands and cares like no one can.
In Christ, we are infinitely loved — today and forever.
