So I’m sitting at church today and listening to the visiting preacher talk about a young adult who came to know Jesus through their youth ministry and she tells him that when she gets to heaven she will go to Jesus and thank Him for coming to die for her sins; then she will go thank the person who came to her country with the truth of the Gospel and then she will go to all the people who prayed for her, told her about Jesus, gave so that she could hear the Gospel.
And the tears started falling and even though the preacher was talking in Czech and I was in a church that I normally don’t attend, I could hear what he was saying in my spirit and it was as if my Heavenly Father was talking to me. “That’s you. You came to this country to tell them about Jesus.”
I was not expecting that but my Heavenly Father knew that I needed to hear that.
It’s the start of the New Year and the question: “What exactly am I doing here in this foreign country, where even after 13 years, I still feel like an outsider — very much a foreigner on most days?”
So, I’m directed back to my True North – I’m here to share the love of God, to expand the Kingdom of God, to tell them about Jesus. And I know that there are many out there who are waiting to know, to hear.
Thank you Father, for your amazing love and that I can just be a child … a child of God and that I get the awesome privilege of sharing your love and truth.
Bless you! You are in my prayers. I have always admired those who follow their calling to foreign missions.
